Andrea Scarpa passed his A-level exams at the J. Tomadini High School and Music Conservatory, in Udine, where he also studied organ with M. Fontebasso Santorio and obtained his music diploma.
Andrea continued his study at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève with Alessio Corti, where he obtained his soloist diploma with distinc-tion. He then attended a two-years class with Rudolf Scheidegger and after that, he obtained his Master's degree in Pedagogy with Andreas Jost, at the Zurich Musikhochschule.
He participated in master classes held by F. Delors, A. Corti, L. Rogg, J. D. Christie, M. Radulescu and W. Zerer, among others, in Geneva and Sion.
Andrea won the third price at the 5th Z. Tossani International Organ Contest, in Bologna (1998), as well as the second price at the D. Herz International Organ Contest, in Brixen (2008).
In addition to his position as organist at the Maria Krönung Catholic Parish in Zurich-Witikon, he teaches piano at the Zürcher Oberland Music School and maintains a regular concert schedule.
